David Kim and Sam Song of Kim-Song Properties hosted a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday, April 9, 2008, for the future location of the 14,450 sq. ft. shopping and business location at 151 Old Ridgefield Rd. at the corner of Godfrey Place in Wilton Center.
Joseph Cugno of Cugno Architects is the architect, and Paul Hirsch, President of P&H Construction Group, Inc. is the general contractor for the new development.

Scheduled for occupancy during the first quarter of 2009, with interior tenant construction to begin by the end of the summer 2008, the Wilton Center will house a two-story mixed-use building of new office and retail space specifically designed for entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Governor Jody Well sent her best wishes and 1st Selectman William Brennan spoke and shared his congratulations with an audience filled with many of the prominent Wilton officials and residents who came to the opening ceremony

State Representative Toni Boucher, Assistant Minority Leader for District 143, who was unable to be at the groundbreaking ceremony due to legislative commitments said, "I am very happy to support this important project and thank the owners, builders and architect for preserving the esthetics of our town by designing a structure that is sensitive to the colonial architecture that characterizes our beautiful center."

Owners Kim and Song say that it is their hope that the Wilton Center will serve as an accessible and convenient location for its tenants and its tenants’ customers, while providing an attractive ambience for the community.

Joseph Cugno of Cugno Architecture said that his company traveled from Boston to Virginia reviewing architecture before coming up with a design for Wilton Center, which aims to unify and define Wilton's downtown. He says it will look like it was built 150 to 200 years ago.”
"As we are celebrating our 25th year, it is exciting to be creating such a beautiful building,” says president and owner Paul Hirsch of P&H Construction Group, Inc. “We built the SPLASH carwash which is a landmark in Wilton and now we will be adding another landmark.”  P&H’s ability to get jobs done smoothly, along with the quality of the company's work, impressed Kim-Song Properties enough that they decided to use P&H to build  the Wilton Center project.
